CFX knows the value of privacy. Our policy is to NEVER disclose ANY customer information to ANYONE aside from the account holder. Information such as addresses, contact information, and credit data will NEVER be discussed with anyone without personal verification.
HOWEVER…
CFX obeys the law – if we are subpoenaed with a court-order concerning specific details of an account or specific transaction in connection with criminal activity, we must comply with law-enforcement agencies to our full capabilities, as we are compelled to do so by law.

We value your privacy, and we also value the integrity of our company name. We do not condone using our products in conjunction with any illegal activities, and consider that a violation of your agreement with us.
Terms of Payment
We accept the following methods of payment: Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express, PayPal, Checks & Money Orders (Domestic US Only). We can also accept Bank Transfers on request. Service fees may apply.
International customers may be asked to use a form of payment other than credit card.
When an order has been placed, we will send you an invoice via email (or alternative method at your request). Once the invoice has been emailed, you have two business days to make a payment, in full (including shipping fees), or your order will be canceled.
Order fulfillment is on a first come, first serve basis. PLEASE CALL to find out the current wait time for made-to-order items, as this can change day to day.
“Estimated Ship Dates” are approximate and are based on current workload, seasonal demand, and material availability. CFX is not responsible for shipping delays outside of our control.
We typically require a signature on products shipped. This is to protect your products, and to make sure they reach the right person.
All shipping costs are final, unless otherwise indicated based on the class of shipping service used.
Quotes and Invoices on orders have a limited life, generally one week. If a customer takes more than one week to approve/pay, then CFX may need to adjust the delivery time, or an in stock item may no longer be available.
You must be 18 years of age or older to order or register personal information on our site.
All made-to-order items are hand painted and finished. Some variation in color, hair or design is expected.
Customers requesting custom paint or alterations that require a reference image, you must send in the reference photo to our email address (info@compositeeffects.com) within 48 hours. Otherwise, your order will be canceled and your payment refunded, minus a 15% cancellation charge.
Changes made after a 48 hour period to made-to-order items will incur a $25.00 charge.
Orders placed for made-to-order items (such as Silicone Masks) can not be canceled once the item is produced. A 15% cancellation fee will apply to orders canceled before production to cover payment/order processing and material acquisition.
PAYMENT PLANS: Payment for fully custom projects is generally taken as a deposit equal to 50% of the total balance at the start of the project and is not considered refundable. The total balance is due upon approved completion and before shipment. (Terms for custom projects may vary and are set at the time of commission and on a case by case basis. Custom projects will usually require a contract.) (NOTE: This applies to fully custom projects, and NOT to custom alterations of already existing masks.)
Policies for custom orders will be set at the time of commission and contract execution. Custom order deposits are always non-refundable.
Purchase of a CFX mask does not guarantee licensed usage in media such as film and TV. Please see our Use of Intellectual Properties page and contact us directly for information about usage rights.
We do not issue refunds for our items as most of them are made-to-order.
If an item is found to be defective through fault of our own, we will repair or replace the item at no additional charge (including return shipping). Any defects must be reported by the customer and approved by management within 7 days of receiving the item.
If we cannot determine by looking at the photos whether or not the damage was a manufacturing defect, you will be asked to pay for shipping to our facility. If we determine, after receiving the mask, that the damage is our fault, you will be reimbursed for the cost of shipping.
Exchanges are subject to management approval and may vary from item to item.
We do not allow exchanges on custom painted masks or appliances.
If an order has a specific deadline and we are not informed of the deadline at the time of placing the order, we reserve the right to refuse a refund.
Usage of Intellectual Properties
Purchase of a CFX mask does not guarantee licensed usage in media such as film and TV.
CFX owns licensing and design rights on all of our characters, even if we alter a character to your specifications.
Characters that CFX licenses from other entities are owned by their respective companies, and we cannot give permission on these items.
Using images of the masks being worn in a live event or experience (haunted house) is fine. Monetizing the characters themselves is not.
Using our products or design images across most other forms of recorded/print media or for merchandising purposes will require a specific usage agreement to be drawn up between the customer and CFX. They will need to contact us with the specifics of how they intend to use the product.
All items shipped outside the US are subject to local government tariffs, Customs, VAT and final carrier delivery fees. Please Note That You Are Responsible For All Duties/Taxes/Fees With Regards To Import Into Your Country.
These fees vary from location to location and are due upon delivery. These fees can often exceed 30% of your order total and are not included in the shipping fees. Check with your local Customs authority for fees estimation.
We have no control over these fees.
We will not misrepresent the value of the shipment, nor mark any items as a gift.
CFX cannot control how the product moves through your countries customs nor can we affect the shipment once it has left our building.
CFX is NOT responsible for delays caused by customs.
Restricted Items
Certain items have restrictions on where they can be shipped.
Game of Thrones products have their available countries listed on their product page.
If a restricted item is ordered and cannot be shipped to your location the item will be excluded from your order and refunded.
Any item (return/repair) shipped to CFX, must be approved by the Sales Team. Any shipment without prior CFX approval will be refused and returned to the sender.
All repairs must have a formal estimate sent to the customer before a mask can be accepted. Item must be shipped to CFX with the Estimate Number/Return Authorization Number (usually called “RA”) clearly on the package label, a copy of the Estimate in the box, and return shipping already paid. All exceptions will be refused.
If an item makes it way to us, does not have return shipping paid, and is unclaimed for more than 90 days, it then becomes the property of CFX.
